Two ways to work together
Art Samui works with a close circle of artists, in Koh Samui and beyond. What brings them together is not a style. It is the ability to create for a place: its light, its use, and what it should make felt. We call this Perceptive Art.

Create under artistic direction
We are always looking for new talent: artists able to welcome an artistic direction and to make it their own. When a place calls for a new artwork, you receive a brief and we follow the creation with you, from the first sketch to the wall.

Creating under artistic direction
What is in a brief?
What the place should make felt, where the artwork will hang, its light, its dimensions and its deadline. You answer with a sketch, a palette and an intention in your own words, and we refine it together.
Do I need to live in Koh Samui?
No. When we create for a place, a visit is often part of it, or else a detailed reading of the place that we share with you.
How does the partnership work?
Each collaboration is set out in a contract between you and Art Samui. Remuneration, rights, exclusivity if any, and deadlines are discussed with you and agreed in writing before anything begins.
How long does a creation take?
It depends on the place and the artwork. The timeline is set in the contract, before you begin.
Will I see my artwork in its place?
Whenever the client agrees, yes. You are invited to see it hung and lit.
Showing your artworks
How do you choose the artworks you present?
On their artistic quality, and on the places they could serve. We never choose an artwork because it is available. We choose it because a place needs it, which is why an artwork may wait for the right project.
Who owns the copyright?
You keep the copyright of your artwork, unless agreed otherwise in the contract. Art Samui may show images of it, always with your name, to present your artwork and its place.
Do you work with figurative artists?
Yes, when the artwork serves the place. We avoid postcard subjects and decorative clichés, especially those that reduce a culture to motifs.
Can I write by email?
We discuss collaborations only on WhatsApp and LINE, so that every exchange stays direct and quick.
