For architects
You design the place. We make sure it is felt the way you intended.

Two disciplines that meet, and never overlap
An architect shapes the space: its volumes, its light, its sequence. What remains open is how that space will be felt once it is inhabited, and which artworks will carry the intention you designed for.
That is our discipline. We call it Perceptual Direction: reading what a place should make felt, and directing everything that serves it, artworks first.
You
We
The architecture, the plans and the visual identity
The reading of what the place should make felt
The choice of materials and the design of light
The artworks, their placement and the light each one needs
The relationship with your client
A single Perceptual Director at your side, from the first reading to the last artwork hung
What we never do. We never touch the architecture, the plans or the identity of the project. We do not offer interior design. When an intervention outside the artworks would serve the intention, we propose it to you, and the decision stays yours.

The earlier we meet, the less there is to correct
- 01Concept.We read the brief with you and translate its intention into what the place should make felt. The walls, sightlines and light that will carry artworks can be planned from the start.
- 02Design development. You receive a placement plan drawn on your own drawings: where each artwork goes, its size, and the light it needs.
- 03Construction.We coordinate with your site team so that walls, fixings and lighting are ready to receive the artworks.
- 04Handover.The artworks are installed, lit and labelled.
Already built? We also work on existing places, from a single key wall to a complete sequence.

What your team receives
- A written reading of the brief. What the place should make felt, in words your whole team can share.
- A placement plan. On your drawings, with sizes, heights and light requirements.
- The artworks. Chosen from our collections or created for the project, by Sean de Ganzi or by our partner artists, under our direction. We never choose an artwork because we have it. We choose it, or have it created, because the place needs it.
- Coordination on site. Framing, transport, installation and lighting adjustments, handled with local specialists.
- Credit where you want it. The artworks can be presented as a joint contribution to the project, under your name and ours.
- Confidentiality. Client names, plans and budgets stay between us.

Every project is made with the island's companies
An artwork is never placed by one hand. Each project we direct brings together companies from Koh Samui: architects and interior designers, builders, framers, lighting specialists, art handlers and installers. We know their work, and we coordinate it so that your team has one point of contact instead of six.
This is how we work in Koh Samui: alongside the people who build it, never in their place.

Three ways to work with us
- Project by project. You bring us into one project, at the stage you choose. We agree the scope together, and the collaboration ends with the handover.
- Preferred partner. Art Samui becomes the art and perceptual partner you propose to your clients. You receive our reading early in each project, and your firm is credited on every artwork we place together.
- Network partner. For firms that want to go further: an introduction to how we read a place, and a place in the Perspicism network, of which Art Samui is the first Asian hub.
Each partnership is set out in a written agreement: roles, credits, confidentiality and remuneration are discussed and agreed before anything begins.
The space is yours.
How it will be felt, we build together.
Bring a project, or simply your practice.

What we look for in a partner
- Respect for each discipline. You lead the architecture, we lead the artworks, and every decision outside our field is yours.
- Projects where experience matters. Hotels, resorts, spas, villas and developments meant to be remembered, whatever their size.
- Early conversations. The best results come when we meet before the plans are fixed.
- Discretion. What we learn about a client or a project stays between us.
- A presence in Koh Samui or Thailand. And an openness to projects elsewhere in the region.

Questions
Do you work only with artworks from your own collections?
No. We start from the project, not from our stock. If an artwork from our collections fits, we propose it; if none does, we have one created for the place.
Will you change our design?
Never. We work within your architecture. If we see something outside the artworks that would serve the intention, a light or a sightline for instance, we suggest it, and you decide.
At what stage should we contact you?
As early as possible: at concept stage, walls and light can be planned for the artworks. We also work on finished buildings.
Who is our client's contact for the artworks?
You decide. We can work through you, or directly with your client, in agreement with you.
How is the collaboration remunerated?
It depends on the project and on the form of partnership. Everything is agreed in writing before work begins.
Do you work outside Koh Samui?
Our base is Koh Samui. We consider projects elsewhere in Thailand and the region case by case.
